Een schitterende hengst met een pedigree om van te smullen. In de moederelijn de hengsten Cor de la Bryere, Lord, Raimond en Farnese samenkomend in de beste stam van Holstein de Stam 18 A 2. De dressuurhengsten Leonardo I en II stammen rechtstreeks uit stammoeder Felicia. Tevens stammen vele bekende hengsten zoals Classiker, Marmor, Monsum Cascadeur, Monsum en Holsteiner kampioen Linaro uit deze tak van stam 18 A2. In 1998 en 1999 was Chambertin winnaar op de Duitse kampioenschappen jonge paarden. In 1999 kampioen van Holstein in zijn leeftijdsgroep. Hij doet zijn familie eer aan. In 2003 staat hij in de Duitse fokindex op een gedeelde tweede plaats met 154 punten ex aequo met grootheden als Carthago, Cassini I, Contender, Caretino en Acorado.
